Luxury appeal, rural charm
Nantucket is tucked away on the southern end of College Station, offering residents the peace and quiet of the country while staying close to many of Aggieland's amenities. "What I love the most about it is that it's an acreage community and it's on a nature preserve, so they've got a few ponds, a large lake, and it's great to walk around," says Larry Isham, a former resident of Nantucket and Realtor with Keller Williams who has sold homes in the area since 1991. Nantucket’s spacious estates on large lots appeal to Aggies looking for luxury properties in a rural landscape.
The community has a peaceful, country-like atmosphere.

Acreage lots and custom homes
Homes throughout Nantucket sit on at least an acre lot, with some lots stretching up to three acres, and homes are spaced out on wide, rural roads. Many houses were built in the 1980s and 90s and have maintained curb appeal throughout the years, but some new builds also blended in. House prices vary depending on lot size and acreage. Some newer builds with traditional architecture can range between $300,000 and $500,000, while custom estates on multi-acre lots can range between $575,000 and $1.2 million. A homeowner's association maintains the community's homes and landscape. "Another thing about Nantucket is that the HOA is very Laissez-faire but also very accommodating. I remember they allowed us to have chickens," Isham says. "Anyone who is concerned about an HOA should consider Nantucket, it's pretty reasonably priced, as well."
Nantucket's homes have wide open spaces and mature greens.
Large outdoor spaces are ideal for entertaining and relaxation.
