Crossroads, a Columbus suburb
Crossroads is a small neighborhood of single-family homes in northeast Columbus. Nestled within forest greenery, it's bordered by the intersection of Interstate 270 and Interstate 670, two highways that provide immediate access to the city. Folks also hop on Seltzer Road, which traverses the neighborhood's west side, for nearby shops, restaurants and grocery stores. Axios reported that Columbus will be the No. 3 hottest real estate market in 2024. The neighborhood offers multiple empty lots being developed for new construction. "Columbus is set to see a lot of manufacturing growth with Intel moving in," says Realtor Jamie Reed, who has sold property in the neighborhood with Coldwell Banker Realty. Intel is investing $28 billion into its Columbus campus, accommodating eight chip factories. The campus will be located about 9 ½ miles northeast of Crossroads. "The airport renovation is also a big deal for the area," Reed says. Crossroads is bordered by John Glenn Columbus International Airport, which is scheduled for its $2 billion expansion to be completed by 2029.
Crossroads is located directly off of Highway 670.
Crossroads is in a great centralized location for outdoor enthusiast who enjoy riding bicycles.

Highly rated public schools
Students attend Goshen Lane Elementary School and Gahanna Middle School West, which hold B ratings from Niche. Teens often move on to the A-minus-rated Lincoln High School, which offers Advanced Placement classes. Three miles south, Ohio Dominican University is a private liberal arts school affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church. It has about 1,700 students. Folks travel about 9 ½ miles to Ohio State University, which has about 60,000 students.
Goshen Lane Elementary covers grads K-5th grade and has an average rating of a B in Niche.
Gahanna West Middle School is less than a 2 mile drive from Crossroads.
Lincoln High School in Gahanna caters to most of the high schools students in Crossroads.

Easton Town Center and nearby dining
While there is no shopping or dining within the neighborhood, various shops, pharmacies, grocery stores, and restaurants can be found along Agler Road and Seltzer Road. Locals enjoy fried chicken and fish at JD's Kitchen. Since 1960, Happy Hostess House Cake Decorators has sold baking supplies to Columbus residents. Residents enjoy Chinese cuisine at Jade Bowl House, a mile east of North Stygler Road. For salty margaritas and spicy fajitas, people stop by El Rodeo on Stelzer Road. Easton Town Center is a major regional shopping destination 3 miles north. "Easton Town Center is very popular among shoppers," Reed says. Locals visit to pick up groceries at Trader Joe's, Costco and Whole Foods Market or shop for clothes at Macy's and Target. Giant Eagle is also a popular grocery store in the area.
JD's Kitchen is a locally owned and operated southern traditional kitchen within Crossroads.
Jeni's Ice Cream offers delicious hand crafted treats less than 4 miles from Crossroads.
Restaurants and bars like Forbidden Roots and Beeline offer outdoor seating during the summer.

A mix of home styles
"Crossroads is more affordable than the downtown for the moment," Reed says. "The demand for housing in Columbus is significant." The neighborhood offers a wealth of older, smaller homes, including many bungalows, cape cods and ranch styles primarily built since the mid-century. Lots are large for gardens and barbecues. Prices cross a broad spectrum, with older homes in need of repairs selling for as little as $100,000 while well-maintained homes can sell for upwards of $450,000. New Traditional-style houses built in the 1940s sell for between $130,000 and $160,000. Homebuyers can purchase a 1960s Cape Cod for between $215,000 and $250,000. Assessors value 1950s ranch-style houses at between $170,000 and $200,000. Mid-century bungalows sell for between $170,000 and $2000,000. Newly built contemporary-style homes sell for as high as $470,000.

There are several parks within a short drive of the neighborhood. Folks visit Mock Park to play basketball and tennis. Harrison Smith Park has a playset, a walking trail and a picnic shelter. The Alum Creek Trail, a popular walking and biking path, is about 3 miles west. Locals hike and bike down the 7.7-mile-long Big Walnut Trail, a paved path. Many residents spend mornings and afternoons on the fairways of Gahanna Municipal Golf Course.

Getting around Columbus and beyond
"Crossroads is very commutable to the surrounding Columbus Metropolitan Area," Reed says. John Glenn Columbus International Airport is just south of Crossroads, so residents may experience plane noise. The airport offers flights to international and domestic destinations like Baltimore, Cancun, San Francisco and Las Vegas. Folks travel less than 8 miles southwest to Downtown Columbus via Interstate 670. There is a bus route travels along Seltzer Road for those who prefer public transit. The highway also produces noise.
Cross Roads is located minutes away from the John Glenn International Airport.
Marked bus stops can be found along Stelzer Road in the Crossroads area.

Entertainment and activities near Crossroads
Local bowling leagues compete at H.P. Lanes, about 4 miles west of Crossroads. People enjoy works by Picasso, Monet and Cassatt at the Columbus Museum of Art. When the weather is warm, folks enjoy evenings behind the wheel and under the big screen at South Drive-In Theatre. Residents travel 7 miles to watch the National Hockey League's Columbus Blue Jackets hit the ice at Nationwide Arena. Folks travel less than 10 miles to root for for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
