Cumberland Ridge is a single-family neighborhood next to John Glenn Columbus International Airport in Northeast Columbus. With a mix of homes and a median lot size of more than 7,400 square feet, the community draws buyers looking for a home base with some extra space, close to highways and a major shopping destination. Parks, trails and schools are all close by, adding appeal for families.
A closer look at home prices, ages and lot sizes
Listings can be scarce, but when they do crop up, prices typically range from the high $100,000s to the low $300,000s, depending on age, condition, lot size and other factors. Most homes here are owner-occupied and usually sell faster than broader markets, often in just a few weeks.
Most homes in Cumberland Ridge are ranch styles and split-levels from the 1970s and '80s. They also offer decent elbow room, typically on lots ranging from about a fifth- to a quarter-acre. Sidewalk-lined streets connect to newer sections with 1990s and early-2000s New Traditional houses on more compact lots.
Larger lots—sometimes around an acre or more—are concentrated among a small pocket of the neighborhood’s oldest homes, primarily along Drake Road near the highway. Many of these homes date to the early to mid-20th century, and you’ll find these vintage ranch-style houses and cottages closest to the airport, hidden from the highway by a thick patch of forest. These properties don’t change hands often and are less representative of most listings you’ll see here.
