Columbus taxes, Westerville schools
Sandwiched between The Outerbelt and Alum Creek, Strawberry Farms is all about location. “Strawberry Farms comes with Columbus taxes and Westerville schools,” says Thomas Hamrick, a Columbus Realtor and lifetime local. “You have the benefit of cheaper property taxes while still being close to places like Uptown Westerville, with tons of cute little antique shops and restaurants.” Residents can access highly rated schools, and homebuyers will find prices below the average in neighboring areas like Minerva Park and Easton. Proximity to nearby thoroughfares makes it popular with those who work downtown or in the growing tech industry to the east.
Contemporary homes with Tudor influences
Most homes were constructed between 1970 and 1999, with many midcentury-inspired ranch styles and split-level designs. Single-family homes sit on eighth-acre lots and often have Tudor or Colonial influences. Prices start in the high $100,000s for townhomes, rising into the mid-$200,000s for 1970s-era split levels. The most expensive homes peak in the high $300,000s and have amenities like brick exteriors or higher acreage. The average price for a home in the area falls just above $300,000, below the citywide average in the mid-$370,000s.
