The neighborhood has new housing and prices on par with the area

Though most residents in Tuttle West rent, single-family homes and condos are also fairly common, particularly west of Avery Road. Most are 21st-century developments with styles to match. New Traditional designs often have brick or stone accents, along with covered front porches and attached two-car garages. Lots are snugly arranged, sometimes with as little as 3 to 7 feet between dwellings, and backyards are typically narrow and minimal. Prices tend to run from the low $300,000s to the high $400,000s, depending on size and features. The median price is in the high $300,000s, putting it on par with nearby neighborhoods like Tuttle and Dexter Falls, but lower than in Dublin and Hilliard. Multifamily housing is ubiquitous in the area, often displaying the same styles as single-family homes. Prices typically run from the low $200,000s for smaller townhouses to the high $400,000s for larger, detached condos. Monthly HOA fees cover services like trash, snow removal and lawn care and generally range from $250 to $450. Erik Hiss, an agent with Keller Williams Capital Partners, says development in Tuttle West shows no sign of slowing. “There’s a lot of action going on just off of Avery,” he says, referring to new apartment developments that will be built above commercial properties.

Commuting is easy with I-270 and nearby job hubs around Columbus

Interstate 270, called The Outerbelt by most locals, runs along the eastern edge of the neighborhood. “That makes commuting or getting anywhere around Columbus pretty easy,” says Karen Disbrow, a Realtor with Howard Hanna Real Estate Services who has sold several homes in the neighborhood. While the job hubs in Dublin and Hilliard are right next door, downtown Columbus and Worthington are within 15 miles. Most people rely on driving, but the Central Ohio Transit Authority also runs bus routes with stops along Emerald and Britton parkways. Traffic in Tuttle West is usually manageable, but it can get busy during rush hour around I-270, Tuttle Crossing Boulevard and Avery Road because of nearby shopping and commuter traffic.
