With medical campuses and highways within its limits, Creve Coeur appeals to those looking for a smooth morning commute. Home to over 18,500 people, the St. Louis suburb acts as its own municipality, much like such surrounding areas as Chesterfield and Ladue. “Creve Coeur has the perfect combination of wonderful proximity to the highways and award-winning schools, and many of the properties allow the homeowners privacy; you get some larger, gracious homes on beautiful, level lots,” says Christy Thompson of Janet McAfee, a Realtor with several sales in the area. “It’s a great location for anyone working in healthcare and physicians moving to the area.” With amenities and job hubs of its own and more within a 10-mile drive, Creve Coeur is defined by its convenient, central location.

Homes from the 1940s to today near Ladue Road
Made up of many subdivisions, Creve Coeur features a variety of architectural styles on lots around a third of an acre. Older ranch-style homes are tucked beneath a canopy of mature trees, and expansive colonials sit among colorful landscaping. “You’ve got three-bedroom ranches, and in another section of Creve Coeur, you have $2.2 million homes,” Thompson says. “There’s Woodbridge Manor and Carlyle Lake — and up and down Ladue Corridor near Bellerive Country Club, that whole area is sought after.” On average, homes closer to 1,300 square feet cost around $100,000, while homes with 2,000 square feet range from $200,000 to $275,000. Some houses feature 3,000 and even 5,000 square feet, causing a wide range from $550,000 to over $2 million. There are a few condo buildings in the community, many of which cost between $100,000 and $300,000, but luxury units typically fall in the $350,000 to $375,000 range.

Split between Parkway and Ladue districts
Creve Coeur is divided between two school districts. Students in the east can attend schools in the Ladue district that receive an A-plus grade from Niche, including Spoede Elementary, Ladue Middle and Ladue Horton Watkins High. Students in the west are zoned for the Parkway district and can start at A-minus-graded Bellerive Elementary. From here, students can attend Parkway Northeast Middle, a B-plus-graded school, and Parkway North High, an A-graded school. Ladue ranks as the best district in Missouri according to Niche, and the Parkway district earns the S&P AAA bond rating, the highest possible index of financial stability.

Bordered by Bellerive Country Club and home to several parks
Creve Coeur invites locals to hit the green or play a game of pickleball with friends at Bellerive Country Club. The club even includes five separate dining areas, making it easy to grab a bite without venturing far from home. There's also Creve Coeur Golf Course next door to the ice arena and recreation center. For more casual outdoor adventures, playgrounds and nature trails are weaved throughout the community at the small city’s many parks. Millenium Park is one of the top spots in the western part of Creve Coeur because of its splash pad and multiple play areas, and farther south, Malcolm Terrace is another popular destination for its sand volleyball court and nature trails.

Shops and restaurants off Olive Boulevard
Olive Boulevard runs through the center of Creve Coeur and is lined by stores such as Aldi and Trader Joe’s. Restaurants are also located along the same stretch, both east and west of Interstate 270. When looking to grab wings and a pint, residents can head to The Post Bar & Grill, and for Cajun-style seafood, they can walk past life-sized figures of the Blues Brothers as they enter Gulf Shores Restaurant & Grill. Because multiple municipalities border the community, residents can drive to restaurants in downtown Chesterfield, Frontenac, Ladue and Clayton in about 10 miles.
