Crossgate is one of the most charming and fascinating neighborhoods in Louisville. This little city of about 100 homes and 250 residents is defined as one of the area’s best kept secrets. “What makes Crossgate so unique is that it although it’s only a few streets, it is its own municipality, with its own mayor and board of commissioners,” says Terry Turbeville, a Realtor with RE/MAX Action First, who has done a great deal of development in the area. “It is a very desirable location and homes turnover quickly. Crossgate is convenient to everything — downtown, shopping and restaurants. With the new Veterans Affairs hospital being built in the area, the neighborhood will only become more popular,” he adds. The VA center is scheduled to be completed by 2026.
