Skyline Plaza is home to a 99 Ranch Market, which carries imported Asian staples, as well as to a diverse dining scene. Majikku Ramen specializes in Japanese fare, especially noodle soups and sushi, while the family-owned Sheng Kee Bakery next door sells Taiwanese artisanal pastries like mooncakes. Like the rest of Daly City, Saint Francis was born from the postwar suburbanization of San Francisco. Much of this neighborhood’s housing stock dates from the 1950s to the 1970s, and pastel-colored tract homes mix with Spanish Mission-style residences along Saint Francis’ grid-patterned streets.
