Urban community near downtown Denver
Virginia Village is an urban neighborhood with an eclectic collection of midcentury modern homes, local shops and community green spaces less than 10 miles east of downtown Denver. “Virginia Village is still in Denver proper, but at an entry-level price point that’s more affordable for a lot of people,” says Russ Porter, a Realtor with Keller Williams who has been selling homes in the area for over six years. “It’s more of a hip part of town with a neighborhood coffee shop, pub and things like that. For anyone who wants to say in Denver, it’s one of the best value-buys.” With proximity to the hustle and bustle of the city center and easy access to Interstate 25, the neighborhood offers a residential enclave with urban amenities.

Ranch-style and midcentury modern homes
Virginia Village is home to a collection of single-story homes, including ranch-style homes with painted and classic red brick exteriors. Prices range from about $515,000 to $860,000 depending on the size of the home. “There are also a few hundred midcentury modern homes in Lynwood and Krisana Park,” Porter says. “People love that slice of homes, and they tend to sell for more than the rest of the neighborhood.” Homebuyers in Krisana Park can find updated midcentury modern homes with original hardwood floors, clerestory windows and private patios for around $880,000 to $1.2 million. Most homes sit on modest lots shaded by towering maple and oak trees. “The yards are a big draw for folks who want to be close to the city but enjoy a more comfortably sized home,” says Sean Murphy, a Broker with the Moxie Denver Team at Exp Realty who has been selling homes in the area for over 12 years. New construction includes contemporary townhomes in East Virginia Village, with three-bedroom units starting at around $530,000.
