Wilson is the representative agent for a new development offering single-family homes and duplexes in King’s Court at Brownstone Manor, which features New Traditional siding housing styles. Especially in the newer developments, streets are wide and sport sidewalks on both sides. Residents mostly keep their yards open and covered with grass, but many do light landscaping to the spaces around their front stoops and walkways. Most houses list between $225,000 and $350,000. Some of the older communities feature properties offering a quarter acre of land for more space, though these homes will list higher. “It’s York County, but the property taxes in Dover Township are a little bit lower,” Wilson says.Comprehensive athletic amenities at Weigelstown's parks

Because Weigelstown residents are so close to York, they can attend annual events there, like the York State Fair. Founded in 1765, this fair features rides, food and concerts across almost 10 days in July, and it’s all a big deal to locals. “Up here in Pennsylvania, we close schools for fair days,” Wilson says. In Shrewsbury, the Penn-Mar Irish Festival features musicians and Irish dancers from Pennsylvania, Maryland and Ireland. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, Central Market House brings over 50 vendors to their indoor market space.Driving down Carlisle Road to downtown York
Weigelstown only has limited buses running down Carlisle Road, but some residents can walk to parks, depending on their neighborhood. Downtown York is just 6 miles from Weigelstown, accessible from Carlisle Road. People can also use this street to connect to I-83, which runs along York. “You’re not looking at traffic or anything,” Wilson says. “It’s kind of out of the way.” I-83 connects people to Harrisburg, 26 miles away, and Harrisburg International Airport, about 30 miles away. In Weigelstown, residents can shop and eat locally at the eateries lining Carlisle Road. “You have a lot of little mom-and-pop shops, but those who want the bigger experiences, that’s available as well,” Wilson says. Bill Mack’s Ice Cream is a local favorite, which has served homemade ice cream since 1963. Their menu changes all the time, offering seasonal flavors like s’mores and peppermint. Brewvino is a newer establishment located on the golf course and sources its ingredients from local farmers and artisans. For groceries, residents can head down Palomino Road to the Giant there. West Manchester Town Center is 3 miles from Weigelstown, featuring a Walmart Supercenter and Target. Residents can also find Weis Markets right in Weigelstown.
