One of the older parts of Dublin
As one of Dublin’s more established neighborhoods, Silvergate has much to brag about. From maintained lawns and walkable streets to a highly sought-after school district, there is a lot to enjoy about living in this part of the city. "Silvergate is old Dublin," says Kim Deol, an Intero Real Estate agent and Dublin resident. "There's a lot of walking trails. And you have the community center and the library center on that side. It's also right at the intersection of I-580 and I-680 and near the West Dublin BART station."

Traditional and stately homes on well-maintained lots
European influences are present in Silvergate’s architecture, resulting in several Spanish and Mediterranean Revival homes with stucco exteriors and red-tile roofs. According to Deol, there are also lots of traditional ranch-style homes that occupy large lots. "About 50% of Silvergate is ranch-style homes," she says. "It also has wide streets and stays pretty quiet." With many Silvergate houses built in the mid-20th-century, they have an average of 2,300 square footage per property. Townhouses fetch between $600,000 to $800,000. Single-family homes with up to four bedrooms can cost anywhere between $1 million to $2.7 million. They also typically sit on the market for 15 days before selling.
