Cozy collection of homes locals lovingly maintain
While Downtown Everett is known for its industrial feel, Northwest Everett gives off a small-town vibe with its historic homes, inviting green spaces, and well-maintained infrastructure. "Residents really invest in the neighborhood,” says Realtor Ashley Bolden with Keller Williams Realty. “They take great pride in maintaining it, so you'll often see people upkeeping their yards by gardening or mowing their lawn." Cozy Craftsman-style homes, colorful bungalows and spacious Cape Cod cottages can list anywhere between $470,000 and $830,000. Along Grand Avenue, estates in these same storybook styles overlook the water. The community values the historic charm of these homes, so renovations are more easily found than brand-new construction. However, newer homes built in Northwest Everett typically draw from contemporary styles, featuring bold geometric exteriors and floor-to-ceiling windows. Grand Avenue properties and new construction typically never sell below $1 million.Green spaces along the waterfront and island ferry rides
Northwest Everett is known for its green spaces and proximity to the waterfront. At American Legion Memorial Park, locals can spread out a blanket on the grassy bluff overlooking the water and spend the day relaxing. There's also a playground for kids, athletic fields and a banquet hall available for rent. Grand Avenue Park spans five acres of tree-lined green space where locals play fetch with their pets or enjoy sunset views. Jetty Landing Park off 10th Street is another favorite, featuring a picnic area and a fishing pier at the smaller Everett Marina. During the summer, residents take ferries from the park to Jetty Island, where they can spend a day at the beach, fly a kite or parasail. The larger Everett Marina is "a very unique, accessible area with seasonal events and gorgeous views. It's super walkable from Northwest Everett, so you'll often find your neighbors there," Bolden says. Along West Marine View Drive, several lookout spots showcase Port Gardner Bay's shimmering waters and scenic bluffs.Northwest Everett education

Both Evergreen Middle and Everett High earn a score of B from Niche.Getting around and important to know places

The closest highway onramp to Northwest Everett is about 2 1/2 miles away, and there are many Everett Transit bus stops throughout the area. Paine Field is the closest airport at around 9 miles away. Providence Regional Medical Center is the nearest hospital, placed right in the center of the neighborhood, and the Everett Naval Station is to the southeast.Finding food at the farmer’s and fisherman’s market
Most of Northwest Everett's shops, grocery stores and restaurants are along North Broadway Avenue. Locals start their day with a hand-crafted latte at Refined Coffee before running errands or heading to work. For a quick bite, Taco-Book is a casual, counter-serve taqueria that locals love. When residents have spent the day at Jetty Island, they visit the taproom at Scuttlebutt Brewing for a crisp craft beer and a basket of fish and chips. Hometown sports lovers love heading to Angel of the Winds Arena, 2 miles away, to watch the Everett Silvertips, a junior hockey league that draws thousands to the area on game nights. On Sundays in May through October, natives swing by the Everett Farmer's Market 2 miles away on Wetmore Avenue to pick up farm-fresh produce. There are also craft vendors, food vendors and live music, turning every Sunday into a community celebration. For all other days of the year, Safeway and Fisherman’s Market are the go-to pantry fillers.
