Mostly residential pocket, close to downtown Everett
Pinehurst, also known as Beverly Park, is a primarily residential neighborhood just a few miles from downtown Everett. Possession Sound is about 6 miles west, and to the east, there's Interstate 5, farmland and the Snohomish River.
"There are a lot of people in the south of Everett," says Carolina Martell, a real estate broker with HomeSmart One Realty, who does a lot of business in the city. She says many of her clients are in the construction and landscaping industries and choose to live in Everett because of work opportunities and lower home prices.

Everett Station, I-5, Paine Field airport nearby
Bus stops are found along Pinehurst streets, such as Beverly Boulevard, Casino Road and Evergreen Way. Regional and national bus lines run out of Everett Station, which also has Sounder and Amtrak trains and a park-and-ride lot. I-5 is close by, and it's about a 25-mile drive south to reach downtown Seattle. Other major roads in the area include state Routes 99 and 526.
Martell says another advantage of Pinehurst is that it's close to the airport. Seattle Paine Field International Airport, also known as Paine Field and Snohomish County Airport, is about 5 miles away. In addition to being a hub for Alaska Airlines and West Coast flights, it's an economic resource, providing more than 150,000 jobs. Also at the airport are the Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum and the aviation center, Boeing Future of Flight, which offers a factory tour.
Evergreen Way shops, local performers and art
Cascade Plaza shopping center on Evergreen Way features brand-name stores like Dollar Tree, Ross and Safeway. Evergreen Asian Market is another grocery option, and restaurants in the area include Lanna Thai and Ichiban Teriyaki.
A family owned business, Kennelly Keys Music, is also on Evergreen Way. "We're kind of one of the last few mom-and-pop music stores around here," says sales associate Neil Northrop. The music shop offers private lessons and an instrument rental program and promotes local performers. Northrop, who is also a member of an Elvis Tribute ensemble, Kentucky Rainband, says the store has a cork board where musicians announce upcoming shows or put up want ads for new band members. "We cater to people from all over. There are a couple of bars in Everett, though a lot of artists we help promote are performing in Seattle."
Downtown Everett, Funko and Everett Mall
Possession Sound, Jetty Island and the mouth of the Snohomish River are set at the edge of Everett, with the Port of Everett, marinas and bay viewing points. Also downtown, Funko's corporate headquarters and retail store draw pop culture fans and collectors of the vinyl bobblehead figures. Everett Mall is a couple of miles south of Pinehurst. The indoor-outdoor shopping center has dozens of businesses, including Regal Everett movie theater and Flying Trampoline Park. Events held at the mall include fashion galas and car shows.
Interurban Trail, Lion's Park and Forest Park
The paved Interurban Trail runs through Pinehurst and is popular among cyclists and walkers. Shared between Snohomish County and the cities of Everett and Lynnwood, the trail only permits horses on the Snohomish County link. Built where tracks for an electric trolley once ran to Seattle, the route continues after crossing into King County, with a section running through Seattle's Fremont neighborhood and a planned extension south as far as the city of Fife.
Another outdoor resource in Pinehurst is Lion's Park, which has a basketball court, walking trails and a playground. A few miles north, Forest Park has nearly 200 acres of space, with forested hiking trails, a water playground, street hockey, pickleball courts and a seasonal animal farm.
Lions Park in the Pinehurst neighborhood offers beautiful shade and woodland areas.

For the most part I love the area and would choose to live here again. However, not too far away from our home there is a history of drug activity and my family has seen a couple police raids over the last 10 years. Besides that neighbors are friendly and helpful. There are some major freeways around but the overall noise is low because of the amount of trees nearby. We are close to big cities, entertainment, great restaurants, and outdoor excursions.

The area I currently live in is calm and stores are easily accessed around. Super market and grocery stores are close and recreation areas are around also.

There are some places that have some very good job opportunities but if you aren't willing to look for a good job it will be slightly difficult to find a job that would go to the level you would like to go to.

I do see police around a lot, but I've noticed that they do need to attend to some calls more than others, so sometimes depending on your needs they could be slow. Their is drug use, but nothing harmful to other people.
