Scenic, spacious and private community with history
Just 35 miles southeast of Downtown Cincinnati sits Felicity, a farming village favored for its fascinating history and fetching natural beauty. A unique slice of southern Ohio life, Felicity is known for its scenic rolling hills and views of the Ohio River. Beyond its beauty and roots in agriculture, Felicity was a famous abolitionist community and played a vital role in The Underground Railroad. “We have 42 historical stops along the Freedom Trail in Clermont County,” says Sarah Gleason, Marketing and Communications Manager for Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau. “There are six in Felicity, all within walking distance of each other, so you can park and walk around to learn how they were one of the key stations during that time.” Today, residents enjoy the space and privacy of living in Felicity.

The town's proximity to the Ohio River provides ample opportunity to paddle around or explore, but beautiful parks surround Felicity. At Washington Township Park, the jewel of the county, residents can be spotted chatting while their children play on the playground or playing a pickup game on the basketball court. Situated along the banks of the Ohio River is Chilo Lock 34 Park, where visitors can tour the historic Ohio River Museum, a wildlife nature preserve or camp overnight in a yurt. “It’s a good day trip,” Gleason says. “The park is known for its scenic wetlands and spot for watching bald eagles.” Moscow Memorial Park honors those who served in Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, World War I, World War II and the Civil War. Besides parks, Felicity is near some ideal spots for camping with Broadwell, Runabouts and Shady Rest Riverside campgrounds alongside the Ohio River.
