Located at the southeastern edge of eastern Washington’s Tri-Cities, the census-designated place of Finley offers a semi-rural alternative to Kennewick’s big-city shopping and entertainment scenes. “Finley is pretty small, and people typically go into Kennewick for activities,” says Abby Hedges, the Visitor Services Specialist with Visit Tri-Cities. “For the most part, it’s a rural area compared to the main Tri-Cities.” With vast patches of greenery and farmland separating homes and the Columbia River offering plenty of opportunities for riverfront recreation, Finley features a distinctly outdoorsy atmosphere.

Ranch-style residences and riverfront homes
Finley has a great diversity of streetscapes. Some homes sit near industrial facilities along the Columbia River, while others occupy rural lanes in Finley’s green heartland or are just blocks away from the urban core of Kennewick. Ranch-style homes are prominent in Finley, many of them horse ranches built in the early 20th century. Ranches built from the 1910s to 2000s can sell for as little as $80,000 for a fixer-upper and $525,000 for a custom-built raised ranch.
