The Southridge Golf Course spans 130 acres and is one of three public courses in Fort Collins. The course has 18 verdant fairways with mountain views, and a clubhouse that is home to Mackenzies Pub & Grill. Across Lemay Avenue, the 100-acre Fossil Creek Park is one of the biggest parks in the city, with facilities for baseball, tennis, basketball and soccer. The park’s paved walking trails wind past its skate park, roller rink, playground, splash pad and lakefront picnic pavilions. The neighborhood lies just north of the Fossil Creek Wetlands and Fossil Creek Reservoir natural areas, popular spots for hiking, bird watching and picnicking.

Tall trees and fenced-in lots in Southridge Greens
The area’s homes were built between the late 1980s and early 2000s, with architecture ranging from brick ranch-style homes to multi-story modern traditionals. Most houses sit on quarter-acre lots with tall evergreen, oak and aspen trees. Condos and townhomes along Front Nine Drive range from $350,000 to $545,000. Ranch-style homes in The Village subdivision, which have around 1,500 to 3,000 square feet, go for $585,000 to $650,000. Larger builds in Southridge Greens start at $650,000 and go up to $1.2 million.

Concurrent enrollment at Front Range Community College
Werner Elementary School is roughly a mile west of Southridge Greens and earns an A-minus grade from Niche. Preston Middle School also receives an A-minus and offers a large selection of expanded learning opportunity courses, including team building through sports, oceanography and illustration for storytellers. Fossil Ridge High School is the third-best public high school in Larimer County, according to Niche, which rates it an A. The high school offers an associate degree pathway through Front Range Community College, where students can earn tuition-free college credit before graduating.

Proximity to Harmony Road shopping
Harmony Road is around a mile north of Southridge Greens and is lined with an array of shopping centers, chains and local restaurants. Shoppers can reach big-box stores and supermarkets like Target, Sam’s Club, Safeway and Lowes within a few minutes. “Council Tree is the biggest retail center nearby,” Shafer says. Domenic’s Bistro and Wine Bar offers pizza and Italian-inspired menu items along with hand-crafted cocktails and a wide selection of wines. Konstruct Brewing is also nearby and serves pub bites alongside a collection of craft beers. The brewery hosts trivia every Tuesday evening and has regular live music and game nights.

Access to Interstate 25
Interstate 25 is roughly 4 miles east of Southridge Greens and can take drivers around 60 miles south to Downtown Denver or about 50 miles north to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Bus stops line Harmony Road, with over 20 routes across the city, operated by Transfort.
