Fort Myers home-seekers can find neighborhoods as distinctive from one another as golf is from tennis. While Mirror Park and Daniels Crossing is one of the larger southeast neighborhoods of Fort Myers, its primary focus is not beaches, golf or boating. Buyers here can find each of those luxuries in minutes, but the notable advantage of living here is reaching daily destinations in the least amount of time. Residents can access schools, shops, restaurants and medical centers within a five-mile radius. Buyers can also discover the exact home they want. Each neighborhood is distinctive. You won’t find two subdivisions with similar homes in Mirror Park and Daniels Crossing. According to Zachary Rosen, Realtor with Compass, “This area is known for the distinctive variety of homes and communities offered. Each is different from the next, and they do an excellent job of tailoring their advantages to the specific needs of buyers. Its location close to Lee Health Medical Plaza is a big bonus to medical employees, as hospitals may require them to live within 30 minutes of work.”

Villas, townhouses and custom waterfront homes
Buyers can find Colonial-Revival and custom ranch-style homes with over 4,000 square feet. Single-story attached townhouses have recently sold for around $300,000. Villas with garages and plenty of room for a pool have recently sold for around $530,000. As Realtor Rosen explains, “Buyers around here can find homes in country club communities or townhouses in low HOA neighborhoods.” Bell Tower Park is one of seven subdivisions. It offers 500 courtyard and carriage homes. Residents can walk to shops including Ulta and Talbots, while musing over where to dine among the neighborhood’s oyster bars and steakhouses.

Hiking trails lead to lakes and parks
Nearby Lakes Park features 259 acres of trails and lakeside scenery. A wooden bridge that spans the lake draws hikers and photographers, while children will enjoy a kid-sized train that takes them through the park. The Brookshire Bath & Tennis Club has swimming pools, tennis courts, fishing lakes, and a splash pad for kids. Belltower Park features tennis courts, a swimming pool and abundant fitness amenities. Eagle Ridge Golf Course is open to the public and is notable for having water hazards on nearly every hole.

Watch spring training for two MLB teams
Baseball fans enjoy living close to Lee County Sports Complex, which has hosted spring training for the Minnesota Twins since 1991. And the Boston Red Sox have held spring training at City of Palms Park in nearby Fort Myers since 1993. ArtFest Fort Myers is an annual event featuring local and national artists. Kids in Mirror Park and Daniels Crossing can attend Lee County Public Schools with an overall Niche grade of B-plus. Nearby Colonial Elementary offers pre-kindergarten and has a C-plus grade from Niche. Paul Laurence Dunbar Middle has a B grade from Niche, which also ranks Dunbar as one of the top 10 best middle schools in Lee County. South Fort Myers High has a B grade from Niche and is named by Niche as one of the top 20 best public high schools in Lee County. Charter schools and private schools offer many additional options to area families.
South Fort Myers High School scores lower on the academic scale than most schools in the area.

Two airports and a major interstate
Gulf Coast Medical Center and several associated medical buildings are at Daniels Parkway and Route 739. Southwest Florida International Airport is about 10 miles from home, while Naples Municipal Airport is nearly 35 miles south. Residents can drive south to Naples along Interstate 75. Miami and West Palm Beach are about 152 miles from Fort Myers and can be reached by car or commuter plane.
