People come for the high-tech jobs, stay for the community
Blocks of mid-century homes line the grid-style streets of Glenmoor, a large suburb in Fremont with easy access to the area’s big employers, such as Meta, Tesla and Lam Research. With wide streets, sidewalks that welcome walkers and joggers, and three elementary schools right in the neighborhood, Glenmoor is all about community. Meyer Park centers the neighborhood and is the place to be when the community marks holidays with Christmas tree lightings, Easter egg hunts, and a parade for the Fourth of July. “We just had Oktoberfest, and a ton of people came and gathered,” says Beth Wong, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker who lives in the neighborhood and is a member of the Fremont Chamber of Commerce. “People move here because they have friends that live here. They come here for the community.”
