Serenada
Classic, spacious homes
Two-lane roads lined with mature trees dominate most of the streetscape throughout the neighborhood. There are plenty of single-family homes available for sale, as well as properties for rent, ranging from houses that sit on nearly an acre in the rural parts of the community, to homes clustered more closely along sidewalk-lined streets. Many of the homes in the area were built between the late 1970s and '80s but have undergone exterior and interior renovations. Prospective buyers can find an established home on a one-third-acre lot for $350,000, or a home on close to an acre for $450,000. Countryside estates can be priced in the million-dollar range, and often sit on gated, full-acre lots that provide plenty of space and privacy.Lake Georgetown access
Proximity to Lake Georgetown affords residents a wealth of outdoor recreation at their fingertips. The 64-acre Cedar Breaks Park is a popular boating spot in the area, but there’s plenty more to do, including fishing or hiking along the 26-mile San Gabriel River Trail. Visitors can also go small game hunting with a permit or spend the night outdoors on one of the many campsites. Nearby, Jim Hogg Park has dozens of campsites and multi-use trails that provide scenic river vistas. Residents can also catch a tan on the rocky shores of Overlook Park.Nearby schools
Young learners in the neighborhood might start their education at McCoy Elementary School, which has an A-minus overall Niche grade and has received four gold performance acknowledgments for high academic scores from the Texas Education Agency. Students will then attend Forbes Middle School, which has a 4-out-of-10 GreatSchools rating but offers a variety of extracurricular activities ranging from the National Junior Honor Society to boy’s and girl’s athletics to academic programs including science, art, math and many more. As a Georgetown High School Eagle, students can take advantage of the many programs at their disposal, including cybersecurity, 3D modeling and Future Farmers of America, among others.Shell Road
Residents head down Shell Road to reach many of the area’s shops and dining options, or they can get their fresh produce and groceries from H-E-B. There are several fast-food restaurants around for a quick bite to eat, but there are also several places to dine in. Catfish Parlour is a popular seafood spot in the area, mainly for its fried catfish and lengthy menu options. Residents can build their own pizza at Firo, and make sure to grab some gelato afterward. To satisfy your sweet tooth after a meal, stop by Georgetown Donuts.I-35
Proximity to Interstate 35 makes it easy for commuters to make their way around the area. Once residents are in the central areas of Georgetown, they can take the Texas 130 toll road to get around, as well.
