Named after a local flower, Goldenrod is a college town just northeast of Downtown Orlando. Full Sail University lies nearby, drawing in students to fill some of the apartment complexes and single-family homes. “It’s a quiet, family-oriented community with great schools and a great location,” says Nohora Gomez, a local Realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty and 11 years of experience. “The high school especially is amazing, and you’re only a few minutes from the airport. There’s a lot of new construction as well. It’s just a good area.”

Goldenrod is filled with a mix of stucco ranch-style homes and bungalows along with two-story Colonials, mid-century modern options and stone estates. There are plenty of brick townhouses as well. But most commonly buyers will find cozy, single-family homes with backyard swimming pools on streets lined with palm trees. Many of these homes have brightly colored exteriors, spacious front porches and either a carport or two-car garage. Home prices range from about $90,000 to $3,000,000, and there are a total of about 8,700 homes in the neighborhood. The average number of days on the market for Goldenrod is slightly lower than the national average. Some homes were built as far back as the early 1920s, with newer construction built around 2018. Houses can be anywhere from 550 to 6,250 square feet and rest on lots between 2,200 square feet and 2 acres.

This dense suburban neighborhood is complemented by walking trails and green spaces. Little Econ Greenway has more than 7 miles of paths to walk, bike, skate or canoe. Residents can stop by one of the neighborhood's many lakes for a day of boating and fishing. Goldenrod Park Recreation Center, also known as the Orlando Magic Recreation Center, provides a playground as well as outdoor and indoor athletic fields for pickleball, tennis and basketball.
