The Pines at Gray is a residential neighborhood with mature trees just outside the small town of Gray, Georgia. The area also has access to different events run by community members throughout the year. “Everyone’s extremely involved,” says Kayleigh Faircloth, the assistant city clerk for Gray who has spent most of her life in town. “The community really supports small businesses, and the businesses definitely support the community.” Less than a mile up the road is Gray Elementary and Gray Station Middle School, with Jones County High School just under 2 miles away. The neighborhood may not have sidewalks, but as Faircloth says, “The track team with the middle and high school do a lot of walks and runs through the city and county.” The Pines at Gray has a CAP Index crime score of 2, which is lower than the national average of 4. “The city police department and county stay on top of things. They make children feel safe at school, as well as people in their lives,” Faircloth says.
