Rural community west of Manchester
West of Manchester, Greenfield is a large rural neighborhood with a tiny town that’s surrounded by mountains, forests and lakes. “It’s a smaller community, but there’s a main street with a few shops,” says Realtor Charles Boucher with EXP Realty, who has over 15 years of experience. It may seem like quiet countryside living, but residents have access to several types of outdoor activities to keep them entertained throughout the year.
Greenfield New Hampshire is home to about 1,700 residents.

Colonials, farmhouses and waterfront properties
Houses in Greenfield are a blend of older, more traditional ones and newer construction. “Price-wise, because Greenfield is west of Concord, homes are going to be less,” Boucher says. Colonial homes with farmhouse features like front porches can be found on the market for anywhere between $450,000 and $850,000. There are also Cape Cods and ranch-style homes with 1,500 square feet. Craftsman homes with a modern design and front gables cost around $400,000 to $650,000. Some areas of the neighborhood have modern condos for those who want something smaller. Out in the country, large farmhouses with detached barns and acres of land start at $450,000 and can get up to $1.2 million.

Campgrounds and lakes near Greenfield
Greenfield has several state parks and bodies of water within the neighborhood and surrounding it, providing ample opportunities for outdoor adventure. “The town has some great athletic programs and nice town beaches. There are ski areas nearby too,” Boucher says. Greenfield State Park has over 400 acres of woodlands and wildlife. Visitors can claim one of the 200 campsites for a weekend stay, or head to one of the three beaches along Otter Lake. Rent a boat for fishing or get a tan on the sandy shorelines. To the east, Sunset Lake Beach is Greenfield’s private community beach that lets residents go swimming, canoeing and kayaking. Roughly 8 miles away, Crotched Mountain ski resort is a local hotspot for winter sports. Spend the day on the slopes or plan a weekend trip and use their lodging and dining facilities.
For a more traditional park experience, Oak Park has a playground for little ones and multiple playing fields for practicing sports. Walk along the perimeter path or hit a home run on the baseball diamond.

When it comes to food, Mi Corazon Mexican Grill serves authentic Mexican dishes like street tacos and carne asada. For more options, residents can head to Bennington, just 5 miles away from Greenfield’s main street. Common Place Eatery is known for its home-cooked meals and corn beef hash and Alberto’s Italian Restaurant is an ideal dinner-date location.
