Suburb near convenient shopping and Greensboro’s western crossroads
Beechcroft sits on the edge of both Greensboro and Jamestown but right in the heart of Greensboro’s shopping district. And sandwiched between two major interstates, this suburb is well-integrated not just with west Greensboro but the entire Gate City. “The neighborhood’s convenient to everything,” says Eric Langohr, Realtor and broker with the Morgan Collective Group. “You’re close to Interstates 40 and 73, tons of shopping and a lot of restaurants. It’s a very centralized area in Greensboro.” Buyers can pick between 21st century townhouses with community amenities and ‘70s-and-‘80s-era single-family homes shaded beneath mature forests.
Beechcroft has plenty of different home styles for prospective buyers to choose from.
Beechcroft is known for its beautiful autumn leaves and small town vaules.

Beechcroft offers both detached homes and townhouses
Most of the neighborhood’s single-family homes date to the 1970s and ‘80s and blend in seamlessly with the surrounding foliage. “It feels like the neighborhood’s been here awhile,” says Langohr. “Sometimes neighborhoods that have been around a long time can feel worn down, but this feels well-kept, with a lot of trees and greenery.” East of Stanley Road, ranchers, raised ranch-style homes, split-levels and Cape Cods line cul-de-sacs in subdivisions like Oaks West and Beechcroft, which don’t have homeowners associations. Wide streets roll beneath a canopy of trees, passing by streetlamps and well-manicured lawns. Home prices typically range from $200,000 to $350,000. West of Stanley Road, early-2000s townhouse communities with HOAs, community pools and clubhouses are more common. Prices typically range from $200,000 to $300,000, though end units can get up to about $360,000. Beechcroft’s CAP Index crime score is 6 out of 10, which is a little above the national average of 4; however, in larceny, the neighborhood scores an 8.
Split level homes are a staple of the Beechcroft area.
