Although it is close to downtown Greensboro, this quiet, tree-filled suburb provides an escape from city noise. "It's a quiet neighborhood, but you're really close to everything," says Sydney Abbott-Torrence of Gold Mile Investments, a real estate consultant who works in and around the area. "Shopping, restaurants, fantastic parks — you've got it all close by." Outdoor recreation is also readily available, with local athletes flocking to Jaycee Park for its sports facilities and then gathering at Village Tavern for post-game meals.
