Tucked away at the top of the borough, Hofstra Park is a lush green haven for residents. A walking/biking path snakes around the park. You may hear the laughter of children as they run through the splash park and race down the playground slides. Cheer on the youth recreation teams at the newly installed artificial turf soccer field. Grab your mitt and have a catch on one of Samuel Braen Memorial Park's baseball diamonds.

Haledon's main drag is Belmont Avenue. Here you'll find many local restaurants, businesses and medical offices. At Halal Gyro King, order lamb platters, beef patties and of course, gyros. D'Carbon Bar & Grill serves authentic Peruvian dishes like beef strips, sauteed onions, and seafood fried rice. Grab a cold one from The Yard at Haledon before perusing the menu of salads, sandwiches and burgers. For all your grocery needs, there's a Super Supermarket right in town.

For a small borough, there's a lot of local flavor and heart. If that's what you're looking for, consider settling in Haledon.
