A gated community in Jasper County with country club amenities
Homes are quickly popping up behind the gates in Riverton Pointe, and so are more community amenities. “A lot of people are jumping on the bandwagon and moving in now because it’s going to be super nice,” says broker Maria Skrip, co-owner of RE/MAX Dream, who has sold homes across the region for nearly 15 years. “The amenities are open now, like the golf course and pool, but they are building this brand-new mega-clubhouse which will be beautiful.” The 18-hole Nicklaus Design golf course, driving range, outdoor pool and other amenities are major draws, as are the prices of the new-construction homes, designed by Toll Brothers. “People getting in now are getting in at a lower price because it will get more expensive,” Skrip notes.

A Toll Brothers master-planned community
Some houses in the gated, master-planned Riverton Pointe date back to the early 2000s, but construction has continued well into 2024. Homes are designed by Toll Brothers and there four collections offered, with a variety of floorplans. The Championship Collection are New Traditional homes that measure between 1,700 square feet and 2,200 square feet. The Towns Collection offers townhomes with four bedrooms and over 2,000 square feet. The Lowcountry and Shoreside collections have larger contemporary colonials and New Traditional homes measuring 2,200 square feet to 3,500 square feet. Townhomes and single-family homes that measure less than 2,500 square feet typically sell between $450,000 and $600,000. Homes that measure over 2,500 square feet are in the $600,000 to $950,000 range. Homes on the pricier side typically sit along the golf course or have lagoon views. Sidewalks line the streets, easily connecting the homes to the community amenities. The CAP Index crime score of Riverton Pointe is a low 2 out of 10.

The Riverton Pointe Golf and Country Club operates many amenities
The Riverton Pointe Golf and Country Club requires residents to have a social membership. “It’s not nearly as expensive as some of the communities in Bluffton and Hilton Head,” Skrip says. A social membership has an initiation fee of $4,000 and includes access to the fitness club, pool, sports courts, restaurant and calendar of social events. An optional golf membership is $5,500 and members have access the community’s 18-hole, Jack Nicklaus-designed course. Golf events are hosted yearly, and a local pro shop sells equipment. The club also offers three tennis courts and two pickleball courts, and the fitness center measures over 3,000 square feet with a Stairmaster, treadmills and weights. The fitness center’s director offers personal training, health coaching and various workout classes. An outdoor pool is popular with local families. The country club has plans to expand its amenities by adding a new clubhouse, which broke ground in 2024. It will include a new restaurant, a bigger golf pro shop and more racquet sport courts. “The clubhouse is just going to be something else,” Skrip says. “I’ve seen the plans for the building, and it’s just amazing.”
