The Willow Park & Ride West Station is located just outside the neighborhood’s southeast corner, providing bus service for commutes around the area. Interstate 80 is a major East Bay thoroughfare just south of the neighborhood. I-80 connects to Oakland less than 20 miles south, and from there, San Francisco is a short drive across the bay. “With I-80 so close, it’s great for travel to San Francisco and around the Bay Area,” Arradaza says. For domestic and international flights, the San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport is located 29 miles south of New Pacific.Community events throughout Hercules
Residents can enjoy annual community events throughout Hercules, including the city’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Hercules Community Center and the Hercules Cultural Festival, located at Refugio Valley Park. The latter, which takes place in June, features live music performances, family-friendly activities and food trucks. Four Fools Winery hosts a few events throughout the year, including a popular annual Latin Heritage Festival in September.Nearby local dining, wineries and big-box shopping
Local dining and retail options are located just outside the neighborhood. Four Fools Winery is a popular bayfront establishment offering a series of local wine tastings paired with light bites and beautiful vineyard views. Dream Bowlz, just west of the neighborhood, is a plant-based superfood café that specializes in acai bowls. Further west is Powder Keg, a popular Seafood restaurant known for its fish and chips. Flippy’s Café in neighboring Rodeo has been around since 1986 and serves American comfort food items in a welcoming space. Retail options are concentrated along Interstate 80 less than a mile south of New Pacific, with a Safeway for groceries and other nearby big box stores like Big Lots and Home Depot.
