Single-family homes, townhouses and condos

“There’s a pretty good mix of townhomes, condos and single-family homes compared to surrounding areas,” Ghimire says. New Traditional and Colonial Revival homes sit in landscaped subdivisions with sidewalks, wide streets and manicured greenery. There are also a few small ranch-style and Cape Cod houses built between 1950 and 1970 throughout the area. Townhouses and condos are clustered around. Honeygo’s median home price is about $420,000, close to the national median.

Honeygo Run Regional Park and nearby Gunpowder River

“Honeygo has several public parks within a 5-mile radius,” Ghimire says. “Honeygo Run Regional Park is the go-to in the area.” The park offers space for rec leagues to compete on athletic fields, a dog park, playground and wooded walking trails. Honeygo Run also has an indoor recreation center and a lighted roller hockey court. Opened in 2016, nearby Angel Park has three playgrounds. Play structures are modeled after castles, ships and firetrucks. Some have murals of movie characters painted on the sides.

“This is a good place for homebuyers looking to be close to the water,” Ghimire says. “It’s less than 10 miles to waterways, and the Gunpowder River leads right into the Chesapeake Bay, so people can go boating and do waterfront activities.” Locals can access the water at Gunpowder Falls State Park Hammerman Area, where there’s a beach, swimming area and kayak and canoe rentals. Visitors can also wander over 120 miles of trails, fish or hunt.
