The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) provides public transit with a bus system in Oak View. California state Route 39, or Beach Boulevard, heads north toward the city and south to the coast. Main roads like Beach Boulevard tend to have high noise levels associated with traffic, which may affect nearby residents. Huntington Beach Hospital provides an emergency room less than a mile east. Los Angeles is about 35 miles north on Interstate 405. Gyu-Kaku is a Japanese BBQ establishment in the Ocean Plaza shopping center where customers can cook marinated cuts on a table grill. There is also a Walmart nearby on Talbert Avenue.
