Indian Point is one of Table Rock Lake's most popular peninsulas

When homebuyers and vacation renters are seeking out a location on Table Rock Lake, they often land on Indian Point, a peninsula on the east end of the lake, in Missouri's scenic Ozark Mountains. "Indian Point is one of my favorite spots on Table Rock Lake," says Parker Stone, a Realtor with Keller Williams Tri-Lakes, who's been selling around the lake for over 20 years. It's one of the lake's more popular vacation spots because of its proximity to lake and land activities. "Down at the bottom of Indian Point, you've got four marinas and lakefront restaurants," Stone says. "Then, at the top, you've got Silver Dollar City, which is one of the best amusement parks in the Ozarks." Indian Point's lakefront resorts and residential communities put people in the perfect position to take advantage of all this area offers.

Lake homes for summer getaways and rental income

Indian Point draws many buyers because its influx of summer visitors creates rental opportunities. "People want to put their money into a beautiful place they can visit for a few months a year," Stone says. "And they can make some money off it when they're gone." The median price is just over $300,000. Condos with lake views can be found around the median. Meanwhile, smaller units near Silver Dollar City can be found for under $100,000. Single-family homes off the lake vary from older ranch-style homes down the point to contemporary cabin mansions in new communities up the point, ranging from the median price to $1.3 million. Lakefront homes get snatched up quickly on this high-demand peninsula. Midsize lakefront homes and newly constructed properties range from $400,000 to over $900,000.

Boat days with views of the Ozark Mountains

The main reason people move here is the lake, of course. With 800-plus miles of shoreline, Table Rock Lake is one of the largest in the Ozarks. Summer days are spent fishing, swimming and wakeboarding, or just cruising up and down the lake while taking in the mountain backdrop. There are small beaches, but residents typically access the lake by boat. There's a launch at Indian Point Marina, and most of the resort communities around Indian Point have docks. Silver Dollar City is on the north end of Indian Point. This 1880s-themed amusement park has all kinds of roller coasters, rides and attractions. One of the sightseeing adventures, Marvel Cave, takes visitors through an Ozark cave tunnel.

Floating cafes and eateries with plenty of sunny seating

There are a few restaurants on Indian Point. All are near the lakefront, but Indian Point Café is literally on the water. Indian Point Café is Indian Point Marina's floating eatery, where boaters can stop after days on the lake. A short drive down Tablerock Circle leads to The Lake House, a popular watering hole at the tip of Indian Point. Farther up the point, Shady Taco offers tacos, margaritas and a large outdoor patio. Thirsty's Cocktail Bar also has ample outdoor seating under the shady pines. The closest retail and major grocery stores are 5 miles north in Branson West, or about 10 miles east in Branson.
