Thompson Crossing Elementary fits the needs of Poplar Grove’s population by being the only Franklin Township school with a dual-language immersion program. Spanish and English speakers spend half the day taught in their native language and the other half instructed in their new language. Thompson Crossing, which serves K-3 students, receives a B-plus rating from Niche. Students move on to B-plus rated Edgewood Intermediate for fourth through sixth grades. B-rated Franklin Central Junior High serves seventh and eighth grades before students advance to Franklin Central High. Franklin Central High School has an A-minus Niche rating.

The Marion County Fairgrounds are just minutes away from Poplar Grove. Home of the annual Marion County Fair in late June and early July, it also features weekly dirt-track auto racing at Circle City Raceway. The race schedule begins in April and culminates with the Spooky 200 in October. Hanna Haunted Acres is another spooky season staple. Located in the exact midpoint of Poplar Grove, the farm complex features a corn maze, haunted hayrides and haunted houses.
Easy access to interstates
