Quail Hill
Suburban Neighborhood in Irvine, California
Orange County 92603, 92612
Abundant outdoor recreation
With five parks, the Quail Hill village has everything needed for an active lifestyle. Many residents hike at the Irvine Open Space Preserve. “You also have access to some great trails, which run all the way to Crystal Cove State Park. You could actually hike all the way from the neighborhood to Laguna Beach, if you have the energy,” says Realtor Lucy Di Profio, who has over three decades of experience in the area and works with Re/Max Premier Realty. The Quail Hill Trailhead is the only dog-friendly trail in the preserve. It leads to scenic landscapes, including fields of flowers and grassy coastal hills, where hikers can see wildlife from rattlesnakes to roadrunners. Quail Hill Community Park has a community center with multiple rooms for programs and events as well as an exercise room. The outdoor part of the park includes sports courts and fields, barbecue grills and picnic tables. Also onsite, the Rocks & Ropes Playground features rock and log-shaped structures made of rubber and concrete-sandstone. At Strawberry Farms Golf Club, residents can play on a scenic public 18-hole course surrounding a reservoir.Spanish-style housing options
Along the cul-de-sacs and winding roads of Quail Hill — with fanciful names like Momento, Dreamlight, and Luminous — yards are meticulously landscaped with cacti and yucca. Housing includes spacious standalone single-family homes, attached townhouses and condos. Most houses are variations on Spanish Revival, featuring clay tiles roofs and stucco exteriors. Some have characteristics like courtyards and gated entryways. Residents of homeowners association communities share lavish amenities, such as pools, tennis courts and a fitness center. A townhouse can sell for anywhere from $875,000 to $1.3 million, while single-family homes range from $1.1 million to $4.7 million. An expansive strip mall
At Quail Hill Shopping Center, residents can find everyday essentials and much more. “The shopping in the neighborhood is incredibly convenient,” Di Profio says. Located in the northwest corner of the neighborhood, the strip mall has an Albertsons grocery store, a CVS pharmacy and a gas station. It also has endless dining possibilities. For fish delivered daily from Japan and a modern atmosphere, residents can visit O Fine Japanese Cuisine. The Irvine Grill, a bright white eatery ideal for lunches, is the spot for kabobs and other Persian specialties. Nalu's Hawaiian Fish Grill & Tutu's Kitchen prepares its health-conscious menu in a wood plank interior.Local events
For seasonal entertainment, the City of Irvine's Summer In the City Concert series is held nearby in Woodbridge. The Irvine Open Space Preserve has volunteering events such as monthly weeding and planting of native seedlings. The neighborhood parks and trails are used for sports events, yoga classes and 5Ks like the Turkey Trot.Close to downtown Irvine
Only about 5 miles from downtown Irvine, residents can easily commute all over the city for work, which can take 15 minutes on Interstate 405. Hoag Hospital and Kaiser Permanente Orange County hospital are leading work sites in the area. The area doesn’t have public transportation, so residents need to drive their own vehicles.
