What one imagines when they think of suburban living on Long Island
Islandia is a quiet residential area in the heart of Long Island. Mid-sized single-family homes sit on well-maintained half-acre lots with mature trees and manicured lawns. With updated public amenities, the neighborhood offers the best qualities of suburban living. Jake’s 58 Casino took ownership of a large disused hotel in 2017 and helped revitalize much of the area, improving roads and public bus routes while also funding local sports fields. “It’s always been this small, tucked-away community right next to Central Islip,” says Todd Yovino, owner of Island Advantage Realty. “A lot of people like this neighborhood because it’s off of the Long Island Expressway, and it’s easy to commute into the city.”
