Keep an ear out for some sizzling eats at the Belhaven Grilled Cheese Festival, held in the spring, and keep an eye out for Bright Lights Belhaven Nights in the late summer. Motoring around the state capital
Interstate 55 cuts through the eastern half of Belhaven, running from the Gulf of Mexico to the Great Lakes in its entirety. In Mississippi, it treks through the rough center of the state, stopping in cities like McComb, Winona and Ridgeland on its way. Bus lines, operated by JTRAN, are also available. These run throughout the city of Jackson and the roads, whether residents are in a car or bus, get them quickly around the city.
