Jericho is a rugged mountain town beside Burlington
Jericho appeals for its stock of secluded homes and rural atmosphere among Vermont's Green Mountains while being commuter-friendly to major employers around Burlington. Residents appreciate the community's access to highly ranked public schools, parks and regional attractions like Stowe Mountain Resort. Due to the snowy, mountainous environment, Jericho also hosts the Camp Ethan Allen Training Site, an army training center for mountaineering and long-distance sharpshooting.

Country homes on spacious land
Jericho's single-family homes range from $300,000 to $1.2 million, varying by square footage and lot size. Buyers can find open-porch farmhouses, ramblers and Colonial Revivals on expansive multi-acre lots along winding mountain roads. "The land lots are a big draw for residents who want to build chicken coops, and some homeowners do small hobby farming and gardening," says Amanda Gerlack, a lifelong Vermonter and listing and selling partner with Nancy Jenkins Real Estate. Residents who live close to Camp Ethan Allen might hear occasional noise from the base, as there is an active firing range on site.
