A coxy neighborhood of 1980s-built homes and townhouses
Conveniently nestled into the west side of the city, Jupiter Village occupies an interesting spot in terms of location and affordability. Many of the surrounding neighborhoods are either golf course communities featuring sprawling contemporary homes or acreage subdivisions designed for large homes on oversized lots. Jupiter Village is more of a traditional neighborhood with small to mid-sized homes and townhouses built in the 1980s around a central retention pond. “It has a cozy community feel that attracts a wide range of buyers, from first-time homeowners to retirees,” says Mallory Hughes, a real estate advisor with Compass and native of neighboring Tequesta.
Appealing price points for the Jupiter market
Both housing options offer waterfront views, as the pond adds to the neighborhood’s appeal. The ranch-style influence is prominent among the homes that grace quiet, walkable streets. Standard features include attached garages and backyards large enough for pools. “The smaller properties are easier to manage than the large lots you’ll find across I-95,” Hughes says. Home prices range from the high $300,000s to the low $600,000s. Townhouses range from the high $200,000s to the high $300,000s. HOA fees can range from $60 to $570, depending on housing type and amenities. “The neighborhood has one of the lowest price points in the area,” says Zachary Greenberg, broker/owner of Coastal Real Estate Professionals LLC who grew up in Jupiter Village and lived there as a young adult.
Nearby Jerry Thomas Elementary among top-rated public schools
Students have access to a trio of highly rated Palm Beach County schools. Jerry Thomas Elementary, located just outside the neighborhood, and Independence Middle schools are both rated A-minus by Niche. Jupiter Community High is an A-rated school that features the Cambridge International program and specialized courses in a variety of subjects, from horticulture science to criminal justice. The school also offers more than 70 school-sponsored clubs and more than 25 varsity-level sports teams. Nearby private options include Turtle River Montessori (PK-8), All Saints Catholic (PK-8) and Jupiter Christian School West Campus (PK-12).
North County Aquatic Complex is a featured attraction
Four ballfields anchor the neighborhood green spaces at Jupiter Village Park, and nearby Indian Creek’s outdoor gym provides a convenient fitness alternative. But the main attraction for younger residents is the North County Aquatic Complex, anchored by a popular community pool. The center also offers play pool times for its youngest visitors and summer camps. “As a kid, I played in the local parks and community pool,” Greenberg says. “As an adult, I took advantage of the running track and exercise stations — all great experiences that I still value.” The Golf Club of Jupiter features an 18-hole public course mere minutes from the neighborhood. Carlin Park offers oceanfront recreation on the city’s Atlantic coast only 5 miles away.
Shopping and dining options conveniently located along Indiantown Road
The Indiantown Road commercial corridor just north of the neighborhood contains a variety of shopping and dining options. Publix and Walmart Supercenter are convenient stops about a mile away. Surrounding eateries include Duffy’s Sports Grill and Uncle Mick’s Bar & Grill. Angelo’s Too is a well-known Italian eatery in nearby Jupiter Farms. Trendy eateries, boutique shops and special events such as Think and Drink Trivia are highlights of downtown Abacoa less than 5 miles from the neighborhood. The popular gathering spot is a 91,000-square-foot town center modeled after similar contemporary commercial destinations.
Location provides quick access to Jupiter Medical Center, oceanfront beaches
A neighborhood bus stop on Central Boulevard provides public transportation, which is not as easily accessible in west Jupiter as it is in other parts of the city. More bus stops are available along Indiantown Road. Jupiter’s primary east-west thoroughfare leads directly to the oceanfront. Tony Penna Drive, which forms the neighborhood’s north side, provides a backdoor shortcut to Jupiter Medical Center just 3 miles away. Nearby Interstate 95 provides quick access to West Palm Beach about 20 miles south. Notable travel options there include the commuter train and the Palm Beach International Airport.
