Abundance of outdoor amenities

The Rancho Jurupa Regional Park is a 200-acre facility and public green space with something for everyone. Cool off in the splash pad or climb boulders at the playground; grab your clubs for a round of miniature golf; or cast a line in two lakes stocked with trout. Looking to stay the night? The Lakewood and Cottonwood campgrounds give you the option to pitch a tent, rent a private cabin or hook up your RV. Right next door is Rancho Jurupa Regional Sports Park, where athletes can play on lighted natural and synthetic turf fields. For incredible views, head to Mount Rubidoux, where the town got its name. Rising roughly 1,300 feet above the Santa Ana River, its trails are well-loved by locals. For over 100 years people have been coming to the summit to attend an Easter Sunrise service. And it’s everyone’s favorite spot to watch Fourth of July fireworks.

Catch a drive-in movie or book a tee time

For a night out, head to the Rubidoux Drive-In Theatre to watch a movie under the stars. This landmark theater was built in 1948 and its original screen still shows double features to moviegoers while serving up snacks at the concession stand. Residents who love to golf can visit the Jurupa Hills Country Club, which has an 18-hole course and a clubhouse where members can dine and socialize. And for special events, consider booking Crestmore Manor, a colonial mansion built in the 1950s that can host up to 300 guests. Aviation enthusiasts shouldn’t miss Flabob Airport, which acts as both a civil airport for private pilots and a social hub. Flabob offers clubs and programs for every age group, as well as annual events like Swing Under the Wing and the Veterans Celebration. Rubidoux may be a quiet residential community, but it’s well-stocked with suburban amenities. Locals run their errands along Mission Boulevard, a thoroughfare home to numerous familiar retailers and shopping centers. The boulevard is also home to a variety of restaurants serving global cuisine, from American fare to Mexican, Salvadorian and Chinese food.
