A residential neighborhood, the northern half of Country Village consists of multiple gated communities, while the southern half has winding streets of single-family homes. Most of the gated communities have Mediterranean condos and townhouses ranging from $450,000 to $1 million. The single-family homes also have Mediterranean architecture and often come with patios or hot tubs. They range from $1.1 million to $1.7 million. All subdivisions have HOAs, with fees ranging from $300 to $600. These take care of landscaping, usually tropical plants like palm trees and birds of paradise. The area’s amenities include spas and private recreation. “In the neighborhood here, the HOA maintains the community pool, and the park is easy to walk to,” Waldecker says. The market moves quickly in Country Village — homes in the neighborhood stay on the market for 23 days on average, compared to the national average of 46 days.

It’s a very convenient location,” Waldecker says. Plaza de la Paz Shopping Center offers eateries ranging from the retro cafe High Tide Coffee Laguna Niguel to the quaint Italian restaurant Mangia Bene Cucina. The stores include CVS for essentials and the grocery store Sprouts Farmers Market. The shopping center also hosts the Laguna Niguel Farmers' Market, which has certified vendors every Sunday morning. Laguna Niguel Promenade and Aliso Village Shopping Center both offer more shops, services and restaurants, ranging from Vietnamese cuisine to salons to gyms.
Plaza De La Paz Shopping Center near Country Village is home to the popular High Tide Coffee Shop.

For commercial flights, John Wayne Airport is about 15 miles away.
