Single-family homes typically start at around $550,000 and reach up to $840,000. The Canyon Hills Community Park spans over 18 acres and features lighted sports fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, playgrounds and a splash pad. Several hiking and biking trails weave through the natural open spaces and hillsides, with some climbs much more difficult than others. “We’re out in the rolling hills, so there’s plenty of spots to take a hike or trails to walk along,” says Williams. “And as far as amenities go, we have three pools alone – one that’s beach-themed, one that’s resort-themed and then a lap pool. And that’s just the pools.” The nearby Canyon Lake and Lake Elsinore provide boating, fishing and additional spots to splash around.

Interstate 15 allows for straightforward commutes
While public transportation is limited, the neighborhood is close to Interstate 15. Downtown Riverside is approximately a 35-minute drive north, while San Diego and Los Angeles are reachable in about an hour to an hour and a half, depending on traffic. Ortega Highway becomes State Route 74, which provides a scenic route west to Orange County. “It’s a good enough location, with friendly enough prices, that some people are willing to commute as far as LA and San Diego easily,” says Kierluff.
