Village of Mallory Square
Close to Lake Sumter Landing
Mallory Square is close to Lake Sumter Landing, one of The Villages’s bustling town squares and a popular entertainment spot. Residents grab a bite at restaurants like Redsauce, which serves popular Italian dishes like pizza and pasta, and RJ Gator’s, a favorite for its seafood, happy hour specials and live entertainment. After dinner, residents shop at the various specialty boutiques lining the walkable streets or head to the square for live music and dancing. The Mallory Hill Country Club restaurant offers dining options in the neighborhood, with a menu featuring casual fare like pizza, burgers and salads. It also offers happy hour specials on beer and wine, starting as early as 11 a.m. and running until 5 p.m. Residents don’t have to go far to run errands, either. Winn-Dixie is near Lake Sumter Landing and Publix and Walmart are near Route 466A.Residents get active at Coconut Cove Recreation Center
Those living in The Villages have access to all golf courses and recreation centers in the neighborhood for a monthly fee, and Mallory Square residents have many nearby to use. The Coconut Cove Recreation Center is in the neighborhood and is a popular spot to play pickleball and tennis and take a dip in the pool. Inside the rec center, some of The Villages's many social clubs meet, focusing on knitting, playing mahjong, dancing or exercising. The Mallory Square Recreation Center offers an adults-only pool reserved for those living in The Villages and their guests aged 30 and older. At the Mallory Hill Country Club, golf enthusiasts play the 27-hole championship course, which features a challenging range of elevations, some from the highest points in Sumter County. Or they play a short game at the nearby Bacall Executive Golf Course, which offers nine holes. If that’s not enough, residents are a short golf cart ride from several other recreation centers and golf courses.Two- and three-bedroom homes, many with no bonds
Mallory Square offers a mix of Patio Villas, Courtyard Villas and Designer homes with two or three bedrooms, built between 2006 and 2007. Lot sizes can run small, so most homes sit close together, though houses along the neighborhood’s cul-de-sacs often feature extra yard space. Prices typically range from the low $300,000s to the mid $500,000s. A handful of houses are priced higher, in the $600,000s and $700,000s, that feature extensive renovations or offer views of the golf course at Mallory Hill Country Club. A perk of purchasing in Mallory Square is that many homes’ bonds have been paid off. Bonds are fees on all new construction in The Villages ranging from $20,000 to $100,000.Route 466A and Florida's Turnpike are nearby
Most residents choose to get around the community by golf cart. For longer trips, they hop in the car and head to Route 466A, just outside the neighborhood. From there, they connect to Florida’s Turnpike and the rest of Central Florida. Orlando and its international airport are about 60 miles away, and Tampa is about 85 miles away.
