Each July and August, the city of Lexington sponsors Big Band & Jazz, a weekly concert series featuring local acts at Ecton Park. KY-1974/Tates Creek Road, a major thoroughfare running outward from Lexington’s city center, connects Shadeland to the rest of the city.
