The South Platte Park hosts 880 acres for visitors to explore, including five lakes for fishing. Jackass Hill Park is known for its beautiful sunsets, where people go to sit and enjoy the view of the Front Range mountains in the distance or walk their dogs along the open space.

Biking around Heritage
Residents can be found biking around the local community and, occasionally, taking the light rail into Denver, with a stop provided by the Regional Transportation District located in Heritage. However, residents will need a vehicle to access daily amenities, restaurants, and downtown Denver, an 11.3-mile drive via South Santa Fe Drive. Those heading to Denver International Airport can expect a 44-mile drive along CO-470 East and Colorado E470 North.Walk to Runyon Elementary School
Young students can attend Runyon Elementary School, which has earned an A from Niche, and is located in the neighborhood. Older students will head to Euclid Middle School before attending Heritage High School, both of which earned an A-minus from Niche.
