Sledding Hills and Playgrounds at Walkable Parks
Greenway paths Connect the communities in Upper Clover Basin and serve as a haven for joggers, bikers, and families strolling to one of the many neighborhood parks and greenspaces. Dry Creek Community Park is central to Upper Clover Basin, not least because of its location in the middle of the neighborhood. The 23-acre oasis is busiest on weekends, with kids filling the playground, but it also offers an 18-hole disc golf course and cricket pitches. The park is also the place to be when wintry weather blankets the area in snow. More than five feet falls annually, and Dry Creek Community Park has one of the most popular sledding hills in the region. Blue Skies Park is popular with younger children and pays homage to the history of flight with sand-blasted images and a timeline of aeronautical pioneers and historic feats. Craig Cowley, a real estate agent with WK Real Estate, also says that the area next to the neighborhood has not been developed and is perfect for those who want to make the trek to the mountains. “There’s nothing west of the area,” he says. “It’s easy biking distance, a couple of hours to the mountains.”
