The meeting of Route 101 and I-93
Wellington lies at the intersection of I-93 and Route 101, allowing for access to downtown, The Mall of New Hampshire and the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, which is 8 miles away. These major roads also create an easy commute to Boston and Concord, and area sidewalks offer a safe space to stroll or jog. The Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic, Manchester's first multi-specialty group practice, is located right in the heart of the community.

Condos by the intersection and larger Manchester homes
The spread out nature of the Wellington neighborhood creates a lot of options for prospective homebuyers. Closer to the highway intersection, condos and townhouses from the early 2000s and 2010s make up a majority of the market. Colonial Revivals and Cape Cods populate the spots farther from the highway. These homes, considered larger than average for Manchester, often have a minimum of three bedrooms and long, sloping driveways. “It’s definitely one of the higher-end neighborhoods in Manchester,” Black says. Condo and townhouse units range from about $200,000 to $400,000, and single-family homes can fall between $350,000 and $700,000.

Lake Massabesic and local trails
Lake Massabesic is a 2,500-acre lake used for recreation, including swimming and boating. It also serves as the drinking water supply for the entire city of Manchester. Right along the lake, residents can hike the Rockingham Recreational Rail Trail, a 27-mile trail that snakes along the water and through the forests. It's also used for biking and walking pets. Golfers can book tee times at the Derryfield Country Club, which has an 18-hole course, as well as an indoor simulator.

Manchester public schools and large classes
Students can attend Weston Elementary School, which receives a C-minus rating from Niche. Henry J. McLaughlin Middle School, also rated C-minus, offers team-oriented instruction with a hands-on and experimental approach. Manchester Memorial High School, rated C-plus, is the largest of four high schools in the city’s public school district.

Dining options on the other side of I-93
There are plenty of dining options nearby and in downtown Manchester. Goldenrod Restaurant opened in 1951 and has been serving seafood and ice cream ever since. Residents can also stop by Firefly Bistro & Bar, a more upscale dining establishment with a rotating menu and an extensive wine and cocktail list. Residents can grocery shop at the Hannaford at Eastside Plaza shopping mall less than 3 miles away.

Events
Each May, about 20,000 guests gather in downtown Manchester for Taco Tour, where they can enjoy cocktails and $3 tacos from 90 different area restaurants. Residents can also attend Glendi, an annual Greek Festival held in September, with Greek food vendors and an Aegean Market with jewelry and home goods.
