Two-way back roads welcome residents into Carver Ridge on the southside of Maplewood. “Most buyers are unaware of Maplewood,” says Lyn Bockert, Real Estate Agent at Keller Williams Premier Realty. “There are several parks in Carver Ridge, and meeting neighbors outdoors gives the area that neighborhood feel all year long.” The neighborhood is known for its privacy and commuter accessibility, with U.S. Interstate 494 along the western border. Its prime location offers access to commercial hubs in nearby Woodbury and St. Paul within an 8-mile drive. Local amenities provide a balanced outdoor lifestyle, and residents can sunbathe on the beaches at Carver Lake Park in the summer or ice-skate year-round at M Health Fairview Sports Center. With a secluded feel and a thriving recreation scene, Carver Ridge continues attracting buyers into the southeast corner of Ramsey County.

Ranch styles and new traditionals with spacious lots
Homes in Carver Ridge are desirable for their spacious lot sizes and proximity to major thoroughfares. “Most homes in southern Maplewood are custom-built,” says Bockert, with nearly 50 years of real estate experience. “And lots are often larger than properties closer to St. Paul.” The market is competitive, and most homes sell within 26 days, compared to the national average of 45. With a median sales price of $445,000, homes here cost around $40,000 more than the average property in the U.S. Prices range from the low $300,000s for a two-bedroom ranch-style fixer-upper to upwards of $700,000 for a newly constructed two-story traditional with expansive acreage. Most homes were built in the late 1980s, resulting in ranch-style and split-level designs. New construction moved in at the turn of the century along Haller Lane and around Carver Lake on the north side of the community. Back roads are lined with single-family homes with large front yards and multi-car garages. Some residents have basements and private driveways for added seclusion.
