Industry is staking a claim in rural farm town outside of Indianapolis

Sweeping fields of corn and soybeans spread as far as the eye can see in Mount Comfort. Here, the comfort lies in slower living outside of Indianapolis. Yet things are picking up speed in this unincorporated territory in the state's fastest-growing county. In recent years, companies like Amazon and Walmart have opened big warehouses near the Indianapolis Regional Airport in Mount Comfort, and new jobs, residents, and homes have followed suit. Locals typically drive outside town for shops, parks and restaurants, although they enjoy having an elementary school and fun events nearby.
