For outdoor enthusiasts, Geist Reservoir is a key recreational area located just outside McCordsville. Spanning 1,900 acres and reaching into three counties, the lake offers sailing, kayaking, fishing, and various events throughout the year. “McCordsville’s park system is growing as the town grows,” Williams says, noting that the town’s five-year plan includes expanding walkable trails and improving existing pathways.
