Surrounded by vineyards and farms, McFarland, California, is an agricultural center with a Latino population that comprises over 90% of the city's 14,000 residents. This Central Valley city is known for its base of farm workers and the 2015 film adaptation, "McFarland, USA." Based on a true story, this feel-good movie portrays a coach at McFarland High School who led the cross-country team to nine state championships. "It's a farming community with a real sense of pride," says Jeanne Radsick, an area local and Real Estate Agent at Century 21 Jordan-Link & Company. "That's what drives McFarland. It's not a metropolis, but the community is involved and empowered."
