“Most residents commute to Boston for work,” says Todd. “There are three commuter rail stops in Melrose itself.” Melrose’s three train stations on the Haverhill line are: Melrose Highlands, Wyoming Hill and Melrose/Cedar Park. All stations are 2 miles from Mount Hood and reach Boston’s North Station in 15 to 20 minutes. By car, Boston is about 35 minutes using Route 1. The MelroseWakefield Hospital is 2 miles away and the Boston Logan International Airport is 9 miles south. The Incarnation Catholic Church is the only house of worship in Mount Hood.
