The MelroseWakefield Hospital is 2 miles away and the Boston Logan International Airport is 9 miles south. The Incarnation Catholic Church is the only house of worship in Mount Hood.Shopping and dining on Main Street
Most shopping and dining are along Main Street, a mile away, including the popular Turner’s Seafood Grill & Market. Giacomo’s Ristorante serves classic Italian seafood. Further up Main Street, Shaw’s and Whole Foods Market sell groceries. More strip malls, restaurants and retailers line U.S. Route 1, about 2 miles away. The Square One Mall is along this route and has a T.J. Maxx, a Macy’s, a Best Buy and other popular department stores as well as a food court.
