Audie Murphy Ranch offers new homes and a gated community
Audie Murphy Ranch has over 2000 single-family homes divided into different sub-communities. Development began in 2012, and the most recent builds were in 2024. Properties typically feature a Southwestern style and range from one to two floors with three to six bedrooms and two to five bathrooms. Yards are carefully landscaped both for aesthetics and to prevent wildfires, which are extremely common in Riverside County. Like any homeowners association-run community, the look and feel of Audie Murphy Ranch is fairly consistent. "But there are a few different builders that built out there, so you have different styles between the sub-communities," Bernal says. Noble, developed by Richmond American, is one of the most popular sections due to its larger lots, typically around 10,000 square feet. Province is Audie Murphy Ranch's only gated section. Prices range from the low $600,000s to over a million, depending on property size, location and views.

Kathryn Newport Middle School opened in 2023
Audie Murphy Ranch is served by both the Menifee Union Elementary School District, earning a B-minus Niche rating, and the Perris Union High School District, which gets a B ranking. Kids start their education at the community's two neighborhood schools: The B-plus-rated Taawila Elementary School, named for a sacred Native American landmark in the area, and Kathryn Newport Middle School, which opened in 2023 and is too new to have a Niche ranking. Paloma Valley High School is the next step, and like Taawila, also scores a B-plus.

Community events happen at The Ranch House
Audie Murphy Ranch has two community centers offering places to splash and play: The Plunge and The Ranch House. As its name implies, The Plunge has the largest, deepest pool in the community. The Ranch House has a large community clubhouse, two smaller pools and a "tot lot" playground. The Ranch House is a hub for a regular rotation of events, including morning "mixers" over breakfast, pizza and bingo nights and free outdoor yoga. There are over 30 acres of parks in Audie Murphy Ranch. La Lareda Park is among the most popular for its pickleball, tennis and basketball courts. "They have a little bit of a trail system out there with exercise equipment in different sections," Bernal says. "Most people [use it to] walk their dog or ride their bike." Canyon Lake Country Club is the closest public golf course, around 2 miles away. Canyon Lake is just west of the community, but it’s private, strictly used by its surrounding community. However, Lake Elsinore is 7 miles west and Diamond Valley Lake around 16 miles east, and both are recreational.

Menifee Town Center and Countryside Marketplace are nearby for shopping
There's a Stater Bros. Markets just outside the community for groceries, as well as some fast-food spots and local places to grab pizza, Mexican food and sandwiches. The closest, most robust shopping is around 4 miles east between Menifee Town Center and Countryside Marketplace. Countryside Marketplace alone has over 50 businesses — including Target, Petco, HomeGoods and the California favorite In-N-Out Burger. "If you want a little bit more than that, the Promenade mall in Temecula is about 25 minutes or so away," Bernal says.
